Changes have been made to this page on the CIS website -

    http://www.clipsal.com/cis/lit_installtraining_connectors.php3

Due to the recent release of Toolkit and other versions of CIS software
that incorporate Cgate2 and JRE ( java run environment ), the Quatech
SPP-100 PCMCIA>RS232 adaptor can not be used.

Due to compatibility problems between its driver and JRE, you will most
probably experience errors, connection problems, etc.

Because of this we have removed its details from the website.

The older versions of CIS software that do not incorporate JRE still
    function as per normal.

Please note this means that to program a 5034NIRT wallplate,
you will need a computer with a "built-in" serial comport.

Other products are typically programmable via Dontronics USB adaptor
or possibly ethernet using a 5500CN (CNI) .

You can still use the Quatech SPP-100 PCMCIA>RS232 adaptor to program a Nirt as even with C-Bus Toolkit version of Circa, the JRE is not used for direct access to a Nirt unit. (The C-Bus Toolkit compatiable version of Circa is still in development). But you won't be able to use the adapter for other applications that do require the JRE.
