I can't remember if I dreamt this or saw it at the training course, but how can I use a single DLT button to control multiple relays.

Whilst holding down a button, as in a dimmer function

At 25% on DLT, Relay 1 switches ON (Low)
At 50% on DLT, Relay 2 switches ON (Medium)
At 75% on DLT, Relay 3 switches ON (High)

    Any ideas?

Set three different thresholds in the relay unit for each of three relay channels, and assign all three channels to the same group, controlled by the DLT.

Note that the relays do not turn on in turn unless interlocking is selected on the output unit. Interlocking is available for the first few channels of the relay module, and only one interlocked set is available per relay unit.

Without interlocking, the operation is progressive; each time a new threshold is reached, another relay will turn ON until all the relays are on.

This feature was originally intended to allow control of a large group of lights in an area, where dimming is not practical (simple or compact fluorescent lamps), but allows some degree of brightness control.

    Thanks Don,

Would this also work as a fan / exhaust fan control?

Yes, this solution can be used for fan control as well, provided you've got the budget for it. 3 DIN Channels of relays + the original capacitors for the fan is an expensive, but reliable, way of controlling the speed of a single fan.
