Here's a simple question that I cannot seem to find the answer to.

My house uses Neo switches throughout and they all are connected by cat 5 connected to a positive and negative terminal on each switch. Logical.

I have a new 5753L PIR that instead of having one positive and negative terminal, it has 2 of each.

    Why?

I can't find any explanation as to what the second set of terminals are for.

    Anybody got any ideas?

The second set are just wired in parallel with the first set... there's nothing special about them. I suspect they're there for convenience of looping. We would probably put them on the switches too if there was room.

Could it be intentional, as PIRs are often mounted bang up against the cable run, whereas looping via drops to the wall switches would actually waste cable.

Thanks for the reply guys, your answers make sense. I just didn't want to assume anything.

    Cheers.
