print lists of units/groups

    :D A quick question for me, a new owner-builder cbus programmer, we have our system up and running and would like to print out the network and possibly the gang4 and which lights are coming on with which switches. We do have a large house, up and downstairs, and as new users are finding it hard to remember what is where. (Hoping it makes future editing easier also).

    Hi,

    At this point limited documentation can be generated out of Toolkit.. its a big focus for the next significant release.

    This is what i currently extract from the xml files using an excel macro- could not wait for it to be toolkit.

    Maybe we should have a user contributed software section ???

    I am going to start producing some custom reports directly from the xml files as soon as I get some spare time.

    Yes, the reporting mechanism is a little DIY for the moment. One reason we use XML project files is that you can use any technique you like to extract information from it, as others have done. If you're not sure where to start or how to go about things, here's one way to generate reports :
