Hi guys I have a bit of a problem with my L5112D12B2.

The Installation instruction says:When normal operation started, the LEDs will say 'buS'.

But ,when i first powered up my L5112D12B2,the LEDs just display '001' and the ADDRESS's LED shows red.

    Is there anybody knows why?

    Thanks

The 001 on the display suggests that the unit is in DMX-only mode. You can change this by doing the following:

Press and hold the Control and Flash buttons together for 3 seconds. This will enter a programming menu.
Press either Control or Flash buttons until the display shows "typ". Press the Set button followed by a channel button. From here you will be able to specify each channel as being in either DMX mode or C-Bus mode.

I suspect that the unit you have has firmware version 3.04 then. When you press and both the control and flash buttons together it shows the firmware version on the display for a few seconds before it enters that menu.

These dimmers have been released in Dimmer firmware versions 3.04 and 3.07 and only 3.07 allows you to do this change. It is in fact the only difference between 3.04 and 3.07.

Suggest that you contact CIS technical support to help you with getting your dimmer up and running. Why it is in the DMX state to start with remains a mystery.

I couldn't remember exactly but I thought we need to press the reset (using a pen) while holding the ctl and flash.....Maybe it goes to other mode this way....

Anyway, with anything abnormal from this unit, I would suggest always contact your supplier or local CIS because there is a lot of trigger board programming (normally they should be at default value) and it isn't only develop for C-Bus systems in the first place. I had seen E01 instead of 001 before so there was surely an error.

By the way, even in DMX mode, can we still scan the unit from C-Bus network?

Yep, even when the unit is in DMX mode you can still access and program all parameters from C-Bus.

Wanricky, you're right that you can get at this feature through the menu that you enter when you hold down control and flash and press the reset button. In this menu there are a number of parameters that can have a significant impact on how the dimmer works and you can render it inoperable if you don't know what you're doing, so I suggest contacting technical support to ensure that this process goes smoothly.
