    Hello all,

I am working on an installation with 3 dimmers L5508D1A firmware version 2.7.0

One is working fine, but we are having issues with the other two. All channels work as On/off. The dimming (up and down) is not working. I've tried different loads tried to reset the units with no results.

I have never experienced a similar issue with dimmers.

Do you think that this could be hardware related? I can not imagine getting 2 faulty units with the similar problem.

I thank you in advance for your answers and suggestions

    Christos

It could be configuration... check the turn on thresholds and also any logic channel assignments.

    Hi Nick

    thank you for your reply.

I have checked the logic tab in the dimmers. There are no logic associations

And the turn on thresholds in the min / max tab are set to 0% as min and 100% as maximum.

Another one that I have observed is that the load is on and I press the Neo button programmed as dimmer to dim down the load starts to dim down for a sec and then goes to 100% again.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thank you
    Christos

Try a reset and then set it up again with basic group configuation.

Then double check your key input setup for the key setup as a dimmer and not an on/off or other. If in doubt reset the key input as well.

You can go to the group section in toolkit and set the value to say 50% and see if you are able to set the dimmer to 50%. Group may be 50% but is the dimmer output 50%. Change to 100% and then it should be brighter.

Keep an eye on the log in toolkit to see if the groups are being set correctly.

To add to the previous post. Dimmers should have Supply & Load on same phase if you have a three-phase installation by any chance.

    Problem Solved

    Dear all,

the problem with the dimmers is solved. As you suggested Supply and Load were not on the same phase.

Once again THANK YOU THANK YOU for your suggestions and support.

    Kindest Greetings from Athens

Ahh yes, I got caught by that in my first install - I think its mentioned in the manual from memory - but a trap for new players for sure.
