hey guys im having a bit of trouble programing my PAC through C-bus and i was wondering if anyone could help me sort this out

what ive got set up is a pac conected onto the c-bus network with a CNI contected to my network

so i open piced and toolkit connect to the project and scan the network, then go over to piced and open the project and click options, connect to c-bus, and down the bottem of the page it connects fine (1/1 networks on-line) then i click on, transfer, connect to unit, and that seems like it works fine. Its only when i click on, transfer project to unit, and click ok, when i have problems, its sends up an error message saying "Config file failed to load to downloaded to the unit."

Anyone else having the same problem?

When i use a RS232 PC Interface instead of the CNI it seems wo work fine and Transfer the program ok too, Its onlywhen i use a CNI it dosnt work.

    Any Help will be appreciated.

Do you unplug the PCI when you plug in the CNI? Is it possible the burden is enabled on the PCI and when you unplug it to plug in the CNI you cause the network to become inoperable?

Can you scan the network in Toolkit using the CNI?

Be careful with the - had same sort of thing,
down the bottem of the page it connects fine (1/1 networks on-line)
its not the full truth goto the "view networks" and wait for network sync to finish then download.
Be nice if Piced said connected and syncing

If you have scanned the network via the PAC (using as a PCI) then it stops workign as a PAC and you won't be able to conenct to it remotely as a PAC (or locally) I think you need to restart the PAC (unplug off cbus and replug in) .

The PAC can only be a PAC OR a PCi not both, and once a PCI will remain so until repowered (at last it used to, not sure if this has changed).

Depending on network settings for Toolkit and Piced it is possible the comms path in C-Gate could be used by one application and not simultaneously available for the other.

What type of network environment does the CNI exist in ???

You will have problems transferring a project to a PAC via C-Bus because this isn't supported yet. Refer to the help file topic C-Bus Units | PAC | Transferring a Project to the Unit
