The following are issues and questions I cam across while trying to program the Wiser using PICED. I only use iPads and iPhones in my application, so all questions are limited to this configuration. I realize that some of these may be PICED issues, please advise me if there is a better forum to post these questions.

    Question 1:
When in Widget Manager, select the Widget tab, select C-Bus/Lighting:
In the Selected Groups window, the first field is "No"
I could not find any documentation on this, but it seems to be the order that Groups were "used" (i.e. selected).
It also seems to be the order they are displayed on my iPad. So to change the order that groups are displayed, you need to make certain that the "No" attribute is in the desired order.

    Specifically, I have Function Groups:
    Lights
    RGB
    Shades
and would like all the Lights to be listed together and first, RGBs second, and Shades last.

==> Instead, I believe, my iPad is showing them based on the "No" attribute and creating a new visual "cluster" ever time the Function Group switches. Is this correct ?

==> I could not find any easy way of changing this attribute other then to remove the group, making it unused, then selecting it and moving it back to the used area. Am I missing something ?

    Question 2:
Is there any way to provide my own background for my iPad? Under project details you can select from various skins, but I could not find any way to create one?

    Question 3:
Is there any way to provide my own icons.
In many cases, I would like the icons I use for lighting loads to match the physical fixtures, and the for my RGB's the color of the icon to be Red, Green, or Blue.

    Question 4:
We have extensive use of RGB loads.
I would be great to have a color wheel with an intensity slider that would set the level of of 3 groups (Red, Green Blue). Perhaps a color grid, or any of the various ways to select color. Three sliders is clunky.

    Question 5:
When in Widget Manager, select the Widget tab, select C-Bus/Lighting:
We currently have over 200 groups. If I need to scroll down in the Selected Groups window to find a group, and then change one of its attributes, the Selected Groups area resets/refreshes and I need to scroll down all over again. (Cumbersome) Is there some way to prevent this ?

    Question 6:
    Are there any multi-group icons.
I have shades that are controlled by three Groups:
    Shade UP
    Shade Down
    Shade Stop
I currently am using 3 icons for each shade. Is there a better way to do this ?
I would envision a single widget with 3 'hot spots', each assignable to a different Group.
(restricted to relays or bell presses would be fine)

    Question 7:
is there a forum or other location that I can view proposed enhancements to Wiser?
Is this the correct place to be posting these questions and requests?

    TIA
    Lenny

It should read "No." as in the abbreviation for "number".

Just click on the widget in the list and drag it to the position where you want it to be.

You can replace the background image in the skin template folder with your own image of the same size.

    No

    No. This needs fixing.

There are no widgets which support this.

    Yes.

    Well. Yes and No.

We're happy to answer questions here, and we take note of requests, but we are just the engineers, and we're not always in a position to do anything directly about them.

At the end of the day, it's Product Management decide what actually gets done, and they are influenced by feedback from the sales channel, so whilst there's no harm in asking here, requests should always be directed via sales channels as well.

With regard to question 4 about controlling RGB lights, I have posted my code for using HSV colour space to control RGB lights in the logic code library. Much more user friendly than RGB control.

As posted you can click and drag the Group up and down from the Selected Groups window, but for this to work the you need to first sort the groups by the "No" attribute.
