    Hi,

Reflection series switch (R5066NL)with firmware version 2.2.00, is giving unexpected error
When giving the dim up function and after long release the light level goes to a preset position(aproximately 10-20%), where as dimdown is working fine.

    key functions are as follows
    short press - Idle
    short release - On key
    Long press - Up key
    Long release - End ramp

We checked the same with firmware 1.8.00 version 8 gang(R5068NL) and both up and down of the same group found working very fine also working fine with Firmware version 1.4.00 Neo series switch.

Can any one help to solve this issue, is there any option to change the firmware version of key switches?

    Regards

Can you tell us more about your setup?

What is the ramp rate being used on the key unit?
    Does this happen every time?
What are the output units controlling the lighting?

If you are on-site, can you capture the bus messages that occur when doing this using the C-Bus Diagnostic Utility and post them here?

Can you please post the C-Bus network traffic, using the diagnostic utility, you observe when this problem occurs, using both the switch that works fine and the switch that causes the problem.

If possible, can you also please assign the same group address to a regular C-Bus dimmer channel and see if it exhibits the same problem at the same time.

    Backup file is shared

    Dear Friends,

The back up file of the project is uploaded in the www.4shared.com, please download and have a look into for more clarity.
Note that, if we interchange the switch with 8 gang or NEO it works fine , only problem with R5066NL.

    Waiting for your valuable corrections.

The behaviour you see is not a problem with the switches but a bug in the firmware of older DALI gateways.

If the DALI Firmware Version (visible on the Unit Identification tab in Toolkit) is older than 3.5.0 you will need to return your DALI gateways to Clipsal for an update.

The PCI firmware version number is irrelevant.

You will need to load the UI for each of the units on the live network and look at the DALI Firmware Version number. There was a Toolkit bug in retrieving this firmware version number not that long ago so make sure you're using Toolkit 1.11.2. Based on the information you have provided, it's a fairly safe assumption that it's older than 3.5.0 and will need to be upgraded.
