I know there are plenty of threads on this subject but there does not seem to be any I guess standards or commonly accepted methods. So I'll pose my scenario: Hardware is 3x L5512RVF's, 2x L5508D1A's and a L5504D2A. Space is not a major issue as I have 3 36-pole boards dedicated for this.

    Solution 1
Install a seperate RCD/MCB for each unit, but have not been able to locate a 8a RCD/MCB for the dimmers. This setup gives maximum flexability.

    Solution 2
Install one RCD/MCB and a seperate MCB for each unit. Again flexibility but if RCD trips, takes out all lighting.

    Solution 3
Install an RCB/MCB for the relays and a seperate RCD/MCB with seperate MCB's for each unit. Probably a compromise of the above.

Any feedback and product/capacity recomendations would be appreciated.

    Cheers
    Daniel

    Solution 4
Install a 10A RCD/MCB and not worry about the two amps

    Solution 5
Install a 10A RCD/MCB and an 8A MCB for the dimmers. No discrimnation between the two though, not when they are that close together.
