PICED connects to Cbus via C-gate (the same as toolkit), and gives you the option of remote access. Unfortunately it has a couple of bugs so you need to do things in a specific way.

You need to have C-gate running on the local network. Then get toolkit running via remote access first so you know you have all the access rights correct.

When you open PICED select the project then NEXT twice to get to the cbus connection tab. (If PICED is currently running select PROJECT/PROJECT DETAILS and click the BACK button to get to the cbus connection page).

Select Remote Machine and enter it's IP address and click Load Projects. If everything is ok you can select the remote project from the project list. You will also notice that the IP address has gone back to 127.0.0.1 (i.e. the local network). This is bug 1. Now re-enter the correct address (but don't click Load Projects again). The click on Finish. You are now connected to the remote project.

If you save the project, it will remember the remote connection.

Every time you restart PICED it will create a local c-gate even if a remote connection is specified (bug no.2). I just kill it off each time.
