I'm sure this has come up before, but I couldn't find a post on it.

Why, every time I upgrade Toolkit, is V2 C-Bus removed from my PC? I'm tired of having to re-install it.... Don't say I don't need it. With 500+ minders in the field and 50+ C-Bus networks connected to them, it is a pain to have to remember to take a PC interface to site to change a simple group address on a switch... Toolkit works when it feels like it through Minder

    Can this 'option' be disabled?

    Just for info.

My V2 is still installed after installing Toolkit and upgrades.

I installed Toolkit 1.1.6 (I think) many months ago and have upgraded when each new level came out and V2 was always there and still works.

OK.. had a quick look.. I cant recreate this..

Conformist.. any more information.. what do you see after install? No V2 shortcut? V2 gone from disk? V2 wont start? Do you do a standard default Toolkit install or do you choose different directories?

    Hi Duncan

All standard. V2 installed under Clipsal directory. Toolkit was an upgrade to latest version (but it happens each time to each of us here) running Win2000 or XP. Icon for launching C-Bus V2 from Minder disappears. The directory and shortcut gone too. Not doing anything special. Both Minder (and dare I say it.. ThinkBoxx software V4.0.4 installed:eek: ).

    Cheers

Just to confirm no problems here - V2 stayed where it was when Toolkit v1.1.5 was installed, and also stayed for each update of Toolkit since then. Same on both Win2K and XPsp2

I'll maybe try to recreate it (and document) over the weekend on another laptop that needs an update too.
