I woke up yesterday and my C-Bus was not responding correctly - Switch lights were flashing when activated which indicates a problem on the bus.

I tracked it down to one of my L5512RVF units - As soon as I disconnected it from the C-Bus, everything came back to life. If I plug it back in, I can hear a constant clicking and the C-Bus stops working.

I tried to use the Clipal support chat, but they directed me to contact an "eco-expert". The closest of which is over 100km away and if they are even interested in helping will probably charge me a fortune just to look at the problem.

Is there a repair option available for this unit? Or do I just replace it?

It's not as old as most I see. But, I have seen some around that age that have dies.
Not sure if Clipsal are repairing them or not. Most likely not. I can't provide this service as it's deemed to be modifying a manufactured product that's connected to mains.

Thanks. I have another one that has a dead power supply, so I am going to try and mix-and-match to resurrect one of them.

If its younger than 2005 clipsal will still repair them. Ask your clipsal rep for repair instructions, if they dont know ask to talk with a customer resolution specialist direct at clipsal.
