Hey im about to buy some rollershutter relays (L5501RBCP) to run my rollershutters. Has anyone done this whats the gotchas ?

My biggest concern is that I don't know the current requirements of the rollershutter motors and I can't get the information. I know they are either Somfy LT50 or LT60 motors but can't find the draw for them.

    Has anyone used these?

A quick google search found the Somfy LT50 and LT60 specs in about 10 seconds. Current draw is 0.8 for the 555mm (25nM) up to 2.1A for the largest 659mm (120nM). The shutter relay is rated at 2A.

    Gotchas?

One blind motor per shutter relay only.
Trying to use a single switch to control multiple shutters using toggle modes doesn't work (they get out of sync because the toggling is done in the shutter relay, not the switch.

If you search for "shutter relay" you will find lots of help.

10 seconds? What did you google for? I could not find anything when I looked for Somfy LT50 current, amp, draw etc..
I believe your looking at the 120volt variant which I saw already. However, being in Australia we use 220/240 volt. All things be equal its probably half the 120volt current but I cant be sure of that.

    Cheers Ashley

From what I can see on other sites its unlikely I have the 2.1 amp model.
That motor is for huge installations.
