    Hi guys,

I'm currently struggling to see how I can have 2 different scenes in 2 separate 'scene areas' on one DLT. Here's an example of my problem:

I want to be able to turn off my garden lights from all DLT's in my house, yet I'm only allowed one trigger control group per DLT. How can I have scenes for my internal living spaces and garden lights on the same DLT when I'm able to use only one trigger control?

I'm currently assuming trigger control restricts you to a certain 'area'. I must admit I'm new to C-Bus and quite confused with the Trigger Control and Action Selector concept despite reading numerous tutorials.

    All suggestions greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks!

The trigger group is used to control the indicator lights. When you trigger a scene with a particular action selector, all devices in the same trigger group with that exact action selector will turn their indicator lights on. All devices with the same trigger group but with a different action selector will turn their indicators off.

As you have discovered, a switch can have only a single action selector. Whoever thought of this clearly was having a bad day but we are stuck with it. If you just go ahead and use the same trigger group for the watering system it just means that when you trigger that scene the indicator lights will come on on all the switches with that scene. Whether this matters is up to you. Alternatively you can just disable the indicators.

If you have a touch screen, wiser or pac, you can put the scenes in that and create a trigger group and action selector in the lighting application. Then in the switch just use a preset function with the appropriate value of the action selector (it's actually simpler than it sounds ;) ). Doing this also allows you to trigger multiple scenes from a single switch by using either the toggle function or presets.

    Thanks for the details Ashley,

I'm still struggling to comprehend it, could you perhaps explain to me how I could achieve this on my Saturn DLT screen:

Button 1: All Kitchen Lights On
Button 2: All Outside Lights On

If you could give me a step by step guide on how to achieve this I should be able to grasp the concept a bit better.

    Thanks!
