A while ago i found listing for saturn wall switches with infra red built in
I ask one of our suppliers if they could supply 5082NIRL GF
and they said yes ( not sure if they read the part number correctly )
Now i can not find the original listing
Question is :- do they exist 2, 4 or 6 button?

I've never heard of one and AFAIK the only switches with an IR receiver are the Neo and E2000 range. Toolkit does list it but the catalog doesn't and more importantly neither does the Schneider stock system.

It's been many years since I've seen one..

IIRC they were originally done as a special order, but at some point there was discussion about them being made part of the standard range. I have no idea whether this actually happened or not.

I have a vague recollection they may have also only been available in the metal fasicas (putting the IR window in the glass was not as easy).

I will see what I can find out.

    Thanks NickD
I will be calling the UK suppilers and post what they say
    CBus marketing here is bad,
hope we can exit the push for the euro KNX options that most want to sell

Yes originally they were a special, there was a lot of talk about making them a standard product.

For all kinds of reasons (one especially being that they were rather ugly*) it never happened.

So, for all practical purposes, they are unicorns.

    * Ugly = the IR window was in the glass, by leaving a portion unpainted to allow the IR to pass through to the sensor behind, which of course was visible. So a glass fascia with a wart in the middle. Kinda yuck.

I havent tried but someone else may have.

How would the 5031NMMIRL go installed in a 240v saturn plate, would the IR get through sufficiently to allow it too work?

    Cheers,
    Nik

    Thanks for the info All
I think the best solution is to try and use
    5031NMMIRL
    30M Wall Switch
    Master + IR
in a sympathetic wall plate, I still have time before final spec,

otherwise it will be a 2000 series placed where it wont be noticed

Doubt it. The Saturn 240V plates the button is solid, so no way for the IR to get to the sensor.

5031NMMIRL isn't available from Schneider UK. You'll need to order it from Australia if you want one.

Another alternative would be a 5753PEIRL which will give you the IR as well as potentially some other benefit.
