Hello everyone, hope you are well or don't barrack for collingwood:
I'm attempting to write suggested logic for blind motor control from PSC 07 MAY
and have encountered a problem with the Scene button in Homegate as it doesnt have the edit functions button available to it as it does have in the Saturn Neo and others ranges.
Question is Can I edit the buttons functions to trigger group address inside homegate or is this not available yet

I assume you are using switches other than - NEO, Saturn or Reflection???

If you are, you cannot edit the functions of the buttons.

However, if you wish really really hard your dreams just might come true - watch this space.

Yes Sorry I'm far too confused at the moment to explain myself well
I'm using Scene buttons on Homegate, using a 15inch lcd for the touch screen and am having trouble writing your suggested code in the logic engine as well but if I configure the scene to trigger control I feel I'm heading in the right diresction but am struggling with my first time writing code other than sunset triggers!
I'm assuming by your teaser that Piced ets..., will be updated with the equivelent functions of the other "smart switches" in the future surely if its on those it should be in this software as well. and whilst I'm at it when will we get Scene toggling as wireless have had it for months and it would make for some massive user friendliness/Sense for it to be available on jobs where there is no logic in place

OK, I was referring to the possibility of older style switches having the same / similiar firmware as the more advanced NEO, Reflection, Saturn switches.

I hear where you are coming from and yes it should be more consistant with the switch functions, and yes it would save writing code to do this function - good point; Darren: PointOne - Add "Scene" function to the PICED suite :)

I believe that the button functions in the PICED suite will change in the future; however I don't think that the "Scene" function will be one of those changes.

For the time being, use the "Preset" function and set the trigger GA level there.

As you are sooo tied, I will explain it for you.

In PICED the 'Scene' button function operates in a completely different way to the NEO core switches.

The same goes for presets, on a NEO core switch the LED status doesn't follow, but in PICED it does.

Maybe there needs to be a name change to clear up some confusion???

Right. There are going to be some changes made to PICED to add an option to make it consistent with Neo scenes.

Integrators should get together with the Clipsal staff every now and again to discuss up and coming releases or even suggestions on the C-Bus products.

What do you think Darren? :p

Preferably in a relaxed environment

I've got some suggestions Darren about where we could do this but until then what the f do I do about inconsistancies in programming swapping between Saturns/neos and piced?

    Phithy,

In PICED use the 'Preset' button function to simulate the 'Scene' function as described in my reference post.

Just select 'Trigger' application and set the appropriate action selector.

Let me know if does not work or make sense.
