We hav commissioned a site with schedule plus to monitoring everything was fine for about two months but now some networks get disconnected...after restarting schedule plus the networks sync and everything works fine for a few days and then the same problem re-occurs.

This has been happening for quite some time now tried adding and removing the burden but nothing helps. What could b the problem?

99% of all such problems reported with s+ are electrical.

Not just burden. Check the usual suspects: no more than 3 clock generators enabled.

Only 1 burden. (In some exceptionally weird circumstances, enabling a second MAY help, depending on your network topology).

Far more likely though - wiring troubles. Poor termination, a dodgy join. A cable been flattened by big boots during maintenance. A screw put through a cable (!).

You don't say how many networks are involved, is there an ethernet or cbus backbone, using PCI or CNI(s) to feed the network from S+. These details help when making suggestions about where to look next.

    Hi Ashleigh!
There r six floors with 80-90 units each hence 6 networks, there is a cbus backbone using CNI to feed the network from schedule plus.
Let me kno if u need anything more info...thanks!

At this stage we have more or less no info. It is not possible to diagnose the problem based on what you have told us so far.

Use the C-Bus Diagnostic Utility to see if there is a high error rate on the C-Bus networks.

Use the Schedule Plus and C-Gate logs to find why the networks are going off-line.

See C:\Clipsal\SchedulePlus\Manuals\Advanced Fault Diagnosis.pdf for guidance.

    He already has - <Help> - <Contents> type "log".

PICED (pronounced pick ed) and Schedule Plus (pronounced Schedule Plus) have the best help files for any software in the known universe, and any other universes we have been too lazy to discover yet... ;)

    My very dear friend Darren,

I have no concern that your bribe, I mean payment, I mean "consultancy fee" will turn up on time as all previous payments, I mean "consultancy fees" have been paid on time. Please don't forget that the brown paper bags should be made made from recycled materials and should also be biodegradable because you know how concerned I am about the environment and doing all things that are morally correct. ;)

If the brown paper bag doesn't turn up, it may be because it was too biodegradable and it degraded before you found it.
