We have been working for one client on one site for a long time. The site has now 18 netowrks over 11 buildings, and is being controled/monitored using schedule plus v4 with an unlimited network license.
Now we have just started on another building which is about 7 miles from the main site. My client still wants all monitoring and control from the main site system, which is fine just using 6 CNI modules to get each network back to the main site PC. However after a meeting today, my client now wants to also have local control of the remote building at the site itself. Great for user but a possible nightmare to do it right.
I am looking for advise on the best way to go.
    1. Two versions of schedule plus running on a server that are connected to one c-gate.
    2. Using Server X, but then the remote site will see all the controls for the main site, not good.
    3. Can a CNI module acept two incoming connections from two c-gate programs.
    Any Help or Advise

It depends a bit on what sort of control the user wants at the new site. If it can be achieved using a colour C-Touch or something like that, then this would be the easiest solution.

If they need the features of Schedule Plus, then you could:

    1. Install Schedule Plus at the new site, connected to the C-Gate at the original site; OR
    2. Install Schedule Plus at the new site, but with its own C-Gate and separate connection to its local C-Bus network

A CNI can only accept a connection from a single client.

If the new site only needs to control and monitor the new site, then I would go for option 2 as it doesn't rely on the connection between the two sites.

Many thanks, it has given me some direction on what we will do.
Schedule Plus seems to be the way to go.
Will let you know how things pan out.

Give them remote access to the main schedule plus but use different logins blocking out the main sites controls, there is a logic example on these forums.

Continuing on from my previous message, could you please comment.
    Licensing of Schedule plus,
Based on using the two schedule plus connected to one c-gate method.
Does the new site with 6 networks need to have schedule plus with a new liecense or does it use the Unlimited license we already have at the main site.
I think it will require a separte license !! but can the Main site be Unlimited Schedule Plus and the new site be Homegate with a 10 Network license.
both connected to c-gate as previous above.

    Connecting to C-Gate
I have added the IP address for the remote in the access.txt file but the second toolkit wont connect i keep getting error 2080.
Both machines are running the same verision of toolkit, both firewalls have been switched off, but i still keep getting the error, I tried with another machine and this will connect, Any Comments on what may be happening.

    Thanks
    Simon

They do not share the license. They need one each.

    Yes.

Ok we went the the suggested way and we have Schedule Plus on the main site with unlimited networks license, we are using 15 networks at the moment but will add the additional 6 networks from the remote site soon.
And Homegate with 10 network license at the remote site.
So we will connect homegate and scheduleplus to the same c-gate.
Been testing in the office but the homegate keeps closing.
Is it because its connecting to the main site which has 15 networks.???
I am doing something wrong, because if we change the project to only contain 6 networks it works fine.
How can we connect c-gate to the two versions when the network quantities are different ??.
I do hope this will work as we did ask the question about unlimited schedule plus and 10 network homegate connecting to the same c-gate.
Please any help as we will be handing the project over in 2 weeks.

In HomeGate you will need to select which networks you want to use in the Network Manager. You need to set it to open no more networks than the license allows.
