Interesting what might happen to the pricing...was just about to order a licence and hop on the Push band wagon.

Saw it full operational at Ness the other day and it was very impressive.

    Smart move by Clipsal.

Be interested in finding out how Clipsal are going to handle this product.. It requires training which Clipsal does very well....

It is quite expensive.. Ios Package $499, $199 for cbus module, Cbus Serial Interface $465 PUSH PC4 $1099 and cables.

Just seems to have lighting support

?Control multiple lighting groups from a single page
?Two-way driver provides feedback for light states, and more?
    ?Lighting group power control
    ?Dynamic Labels
    ?Slider group dimmer control
    ?Lighting pulse control

The website is very light on details..

There is no 'CIS' to make purchases.. It was purchased by Schneider Electric to join and compliment its Eco-Business offer, which includes lighting and lighting control..

I am sure that info such as plans for the offer will come out in the wash soon enough..

I believe Push is basically the Australian version of Bitwise. Same basic hardware, but they have a team in Australia doing some different development. Bitwise still control the programming software

Push control is a new OS, that's all!

Bitwise own the hardware and CIS have just bought the operating system from push controls. A javascript based GUI that offers a lot more control than the very limited OS on offer from wiser.

They'll also have a much better OS to control devices over RS232, TCP/IP and IR devices. But I can't see how CIS are going to make this an integrated product with C_Bus. Please not another piece of software..... Or are they looking at finally killing toolkit, PICED MARPA etc and wrapping it all into to one software package???

That makes a lot more sense to me....

I sure hope not. The Push Project Editor has one of the most appalling GUI's I have ever come across. I just wish it was around when I was lecturing on GUI design as it provides just about every example of how not to do something in the one package :D

The project editor is still owned and maintained by Bitwise though, and Push just adds Javascript control for specific devices.

Definitely not. There's over 70 man-years of development, refinement and backwards-compatibility gone into those Commissioning apps and it's not something we can just kill or rewrite, though we do continually evolve the platform.

It's important to consider the difference between Commissioning (the above-mentioned applications) and Operations (S+, Wiser, Push Controls). The operations space is much easier to innovate in as long as you conform to some or all of the underlying protocol so we have a lot more room to move on that side, though I can't comment specifically on Push Controls right now.

I'm not sure how you have come to this conclusion Ashley. Are you able to elaborate?
