    Hi
In a project, where aprox. 18 shutter relay modules are installed, 5 years ago, I have an urgent situation.

Some of the relays are activating without any reason, some shutters in open direction, some others in close direction, not in a specific sequence, not in the same time frame.

I ll try to go on site, however does any of you confront such a situation?

    Touch screen sending messages

As per attached log file the touch screen sends usually random messages without anyone to press anything.
Also a Neo keypad send a command at itself.

    Please advice

    Hi 2SC,

Sorry to hear about your 'Ghost Blinds'

The Touch screens have a touch overlay and from many I have seen, they fail in several different ways with differing symptoms.

Mostly the problem is customer related. Perhaps they cleaned the screen with water/ some liquid, which runs down the front of the touch screen overlay, then wicks up into the bottom joins in the touch screen overlay. This often is seen by removing the fascia and seeing discolouration near the bottom edge of the clear overlay and sometimes the metal elements inside are slightly corroded. This usually makes the screen beep but the button position can be far off from the position you are actually pressing.

Sometimes, the touch screen overlay's surface has been damaged by a sharp fingernail press or long repeated pressing in the same spot (eg. Blind up button) which then makes the screen intermittently register a press in the location where the surface is damaged/deformed, and this may be what you are seeing.

If this is the case, you can just move the blind control 'buttons' in PICED to a slightly different location and then when this phantom pressing happens, it is not changing a group address, just pressing in 'clear space'. Of course, replacing the screen overlay can be done but is rather expensive. In some cases it is reasonable to just 'program around' the problem area if it doesn't actuate very often. Usually the number of ghost presses increases over time so may be good only until it impedes usual operation.

Hope that helps and Good Luck

    Brad

In the log file I posted yesterday, the RL means shutter, GR means Ground Floor and the rest greek :) is the name of the room.
The touch screen gives off command, however there is no button that sends no to a shutter relay.

I have seen similar a few times, I am presuming this is a single network?

I would say you actually have another device, possibly the neo. What unit tells the shutters to open/close?

I would disconnect the Neo switch listed in the logs and see if it keeps doing it, if not then try the screen. It is possible it is even one of the shutter units. I have seen a few times where output units 'mirror' a command sent to them, so it actually looks like it is coming from something else but is actually the output device.
