As I have found whist setting up for a job, Homegate does not have the Shutter Toggle function as Toolkit does, rather frustrating.
Having browsed the forums i have found that setting the recall1 value to 98 will basically do the same function as shutter toggle.
    My question is this:
I want to control a number of blinds from one key on Homegate, by putting the required Group Addresses into a scene. If i set all these group addresses to level 98 with no ramp and a pulse of 1 second, will this toggle the group of blinds that i am trying to control?
I would try this onsite but i want to spend minimal time there and not stuff the client around.
    Regards,

    Ryan Akers

HomeGate actually does have all the functions for the Shutter Relays, but they're not in the most logical place (this will be rectified). To place a Shutter Relay component you select the Component -> Place Tool menu item and select 'Shutters' in the category drop-down box. You can then choose between the 1-key, 2-key or 3-key functions.

The problem you will find if you use a 1-key Toggle function for multiple blinds (regardless of how you set it up) is that eventually the blinds will get out of sync. Someone opens one blind manually, then someone else presses the Shutter Toggle button on the Touchscreen and all the blinds open, but the one that was open will close.

A better way to control multiple blinds is to have 2 buttons, one for Open and the other for Close.

To do this in HomeGate you do the following:

    1. Use the Place Tool function, as described above, to create a 2 Key Open Toggle button.
    2. Double-click the button and select the C-Bus tab.
    3. Within the 'Controlled Item' groupbox select the Scene Groups radio button.
    4. Click the Edit/Add button and create a new Scene that includes all the Group Addresses that correspond to your blinds.
    5. Copy and paste the Open/Stop button to make the Close/Stop button.
    6. Edit the second button so that the Scene Level is set to 1%
If that all doesn't quite make sense then an alternative method is to create 2 Scene buttons, one that sets all the groups in the Scene to 99% and one that sets all groups in the Scene to 1%.
