Couple of questions for you all:

    1. I have 2 lighting circuits in a small toilet which is being controlled by a 2 gang saturn. I have named the two circuits the same thing in the output channels of the dimmer pack 'cloakroom lights'. The first button is a simpleon/off of the lights and the second I want to bring on at 50% every time it is hit. I have done this by setting it as a preset however I want to use the same button to bring it on to 50% and to switch the lights off, is this possible???

    2. I have a lux level 360 degree PIR that controls the lights in a kitchen, however, I want to incorporate the kitchen into a scene so that the lights stay on for the duration of the night......the scene doesn't seem to overide the PIR....should it? if so what have I done wrong?

    3. I have created a group called 'my home' and assigned it to the area in each dimmer pack to give me an 'all off' function. Can I also group together lighting circuits in specific rooms so that on say a 6 gang saturn one button could bring on all the hall lights, the lunge lights and the dining room lights???? (there are 7 circuits in the hall, 6 in the lounge and 4 in the dining room)

    Thanks in advance to everyone.

I can answer the first one,

Set key 1 to toilet with ON/OFF

Set key 2 to toilet with Custom as follows:

    Short press: Idle
    Short release: recall 1
    Long Press: Off Key
    Long release: End ramp

Then set recall 1 in the blocks tab to 50%

Should work fine, just press to get 50% and long press to turn off.

With regards to point 3.. Scenes in your saturn can acheive this behaviour.

Regarding point 2, the Scene should override the PIR but only until the next time the PIR detects movment. The PIR will then do whatever it's programmed to do to that group address.

To solve this problem you can add an extra group address to your scene and program this group into the sensor so that the PIR is disabled when you set that scene. You will also need a button somewhere to re-enable the PIR again.

    Triggers

If you have a touch screen there is perhaps a tidier way of acheiving point one. Set up your second button as a normal on/off switch but have its group address trigger a scene in the touch screen. ie/ trigger group set at 100% (on) = trigger scene to set lights at 50%, trigger group set at 0% (off) = trigger scene to set lights to 0%. This way the switch will be operated just the same as it mate on the same plate. I have found this to be a good way to get around the fact that some people ( even customers that are always right) cant grasp the concept of short press versus long press.
