    Hello all,

I have used the "Soft Down / Soft Up (Dimmer)" key function in the eDLT's as it provides a nice ramp up to 100% and ramp down to 0% on short button press instead of an "in your face" ramp instantly.
Also the ramp up and ramp down rate is adjustable which is a great feature.
Together with this you get the Press and hold to ramp up or down to the desired level.

However, I am trying to do this on all the other switches. I.e. 2, 4 & 6 gang switches with using a SINGLE BUTTON.
In the "Function" options there is no Soft Down / Soft Up Dimmer option for a single button.
I have had a look and play with the "Key Functions" which only have 4 functions. (Short Press, Short Release, Long Press & Long Release).
After all testing and trying cannot get both functions I am needing.
I.e. Soft Down & Soft Up Ramp on Short button press and Ramp Down/ Ramp Up on Long button press.
To do this I am needing 5 functions - 5th one to toggle, but obviously can't do this.

I understand the eDLT is realistically using two buttons for this feature being that the eDLT buttons are 3 pole rocker buttons.
Just wondering if anyone has achieved this using a single button.

    Cheers,
    Philip

    Hello,

I found my answer on a previous forum note (dated 2011).

Can't be done on a single button back then and I assume no firmware or software updates on the switches and/or toolkit has enabled this as I couldn't find it.
    Anyway, all good.

I always thought it would have been much more useful if the toggle function instead of alternating between off and on actually alternated between off and recall 2 with ramp rate 2.

Yes, good point Ashley, or at least have 2 difference toggle options as toggle for relay control you would want straight off & on.
    Thanks for your comment.
    Cheers.

You wouldn't need 2 options. By setting recall 2 to 100% and ramp 2 to instant you get the current behavior.

    Thanks for your reply Ashley.
However, I am getting a little lost.

"Recall 2" I know is set in the "blocks" tab.

Ramp 2 to instant. I am not sure where "Ramp 2" is located.

    Thank you.
