Software Statistics.. your help needed

Hey Everyone,

We'd love to be able to develop some statistics about C-Bus Projects.. We could use these statistics to help improve the Tookit software, better defaults, more easily accessible values, improved tag naming facilities, improved length of drop down list etc.. better list display lengths.

The sort of things we'd like to find out are:

. Networks per project
. Units Per Network
. Types of Units in use
. Key Microfunction sets not supported but in common use
. Uptake of logic in Dimmers
. Common Group Names not supported in TICA Vocabulary
. Average TagName length
. Application Address Usage
. Uptake of Scenes in Neo etc
. Average Neo Scene size
. Most common scene ramp rate in Neo
. Most common preset times
. Most common key ramp rate
. Most common Output Unit Min/Max settings
. Most common Indicator color selected
. Most common key functions selected
. Percentage of channels/keys unused
. Projects per user
. etc etc etc (many many things we'd like to find out)

In order to generate any meaningful statistics we need a really large selection of projects to run some software against to generate the statistics.

So, we'd like to ask everyone who is willing, to email me their projects, the ONLY use for these Projects will be to assist us in improving the software.. ALL identifying information such as the Project Name will be stripped before we save them to our database.

So, if you're willing please send us your projects.. either as individual attachments inside an email or as one big attachment after you've done a backup (Select "Backup Local Project Repository" from the Toolkit File Menu, and emailing me the resulting .CBZ file).

Project statistics

gday duncan , dont you guys have access to lots of different projects through the AI Program in your Archives Both Past and Current?.This would give you a good start anyway

 

There's a few in there.. I'm really after 100's if possible though. Especially recent ones.
