Does anyone in Sydney have a spare burden resistor they want to sell for a currency note.

I saw the cost of a 10-pack and fainted. I only need 1.

Holy crap, I just had a look in the TPG and nearly fell over myself.

Should be called a financial burden :p

    $170.50 (inc GST) for 10!!!

I would like someone in Clipsal to try and justify such an outrageous charge.

Sounds like there is a market for someone to make their own burdens and sell them cheaper.

How cheap can you make a resistor, capacitor and RJ45 plug with heatshrink?

To be fair, there is a certain overhead in assembling, packaging, distributing etc.. if they were sold individually at $17 each this would probably sound quite reasonable, but $170 for 10 still seems way over the top to me.

I guess it's an incentive to hold on to the ones that come with each PCI/CNI etc....
