Can anyone inform me whether or not to use the Clipsal speakers, I am currently installing 5 zones and have purchased the Kevlar version from Clipsal. But upon speaking to a client of mine who specialises in audio/video installations recommends I purchase higher end speakers ($500+) Has any one used them and did they do a comparison with other manufacturers.

    Thank you

    Hey Hoss,

During a recent approved installer meeting, I was able to hear the speakers in action at the Melb power house and was very happy with the sound. From my perspective there are 2 things you need to consider here:

    1) It is a multi room audio system so has it been designed to have music blasted in each room or for background / mood music through out a house
    2) Will more expensive speakers be better, not sure. What is the customer's view on audio quality? Is the customer an audiophile that can tell the difference between good and great speakers? Does the customer have a budget ? Etc. ?

I hope this helps a little?. Oh and before you ask about speaker cable, that topic has also been discussed a heck of a lot too?:D

    Thanks Jes,

I guess i was really concerned that the Clipsal speakers were of a low quality and may undermine the whole installation. The concept of intergrating with C-bus I find terrific. As an aside the installer i was talking to was saying that MRA has not really been accepted out there, do you have any comments on this?

    Regards

    Hoss,

Not accepted by who? Ultimately if the customer is happy isn't that what counts? Again its horses for courses?
