In a small project (30 units) a new NEO switch was having a very strange problem that made me to replace it without extra cost.

The switch most of the time was working fine. However some times it acted as this:
When the 1st gang was pressed the 5th gang was activated and the lighting group assigned on the 5th gang was activated. Also when the 2nd gang was pressed the 6th gang was activated and the lighting group assigned on the 6th gang was activated. Gangs 3-4-7-8 was not responding.

When this malfunction appeared, every other switch was working properly, the voltage was at aprox. 29.7 volt and the application log was showing the lighting group that actually was turned on.

    Any idea?

Suggest you reset the unit's configuration back to the default and re-test. If the problem still occurs then it's most likely a switch fault and should be returned under warranty.
