Stubborn DNS settings

    I am unable to change the DHCP server address on my wiser.

    I have had a wiser for several years but it is installed behind my firewall. The WAN was not connected and it was disabled as DHCP server. I am need now to access the internet and so I have connected the WAN port of the wiser to my LAN. However, the DNS server setting of the WAN remains stubbornly set on address (192.168.38.220), which is no even on my LAN. If I change it manually it comes back to that value, if set it to pull an IP and WAN setting from my main router, it nevertheless come back to that same address (the IP is correct though).

    Any idea ?

    I found the explanation. Settings in the Piced project preference page override the DNS settings.

    Project/Project Details/wiser/Lan

    Strangely some of the settings like the gateaway can be overridden directly from the wiser ... others not !
