Hi guys, has anyone surface mounted a colour touchscreen?
Clipsal don't seem to make any surface wall boxes and I need to mount one on painted cinder block wall.
Chasing into the wall is not an option.

None of the C-Bus Colour Touchscreens are available with a surface-mounting enclosure. There's nothing to stop you making one yourself however.

For the Colour C-Touch, such a box would be quite large. The Colour C-Touch is quite a deep unit and surface mounting it would result in the front of the unit being some 15 - 20cm proud of the wall. The Spectrum touchscreen could, of course, be mounted much slimmer.

    Stick it in a box

    Hi Matthew
Many moons ago we stuck a few of the black & white ones into a clipsal adaptable box (56DB4 or 56DB6), surface mounted on a concrete block wall in a Back of House location for a commercial job. This was the neatest option. Another we modified a 4CC11 type consumer switchboard (no mains in it!) and used the DIN rail next to it for a PC interface or similar.

May not be a pretty or asthetically pleasing option for a house, worked well otherwise.
