One way of terminating multiple C-Bus cables inside the C-Bus Panel is to use a small din rail mounted enclosure. I use a small floating terminal strip inside the enclosure, but any connection method would be fine.
Having a pink data socket on the front enables you to connect to C-Bus without removing the escutcheon.

Now that is something that I quite like! Is the enclosure to take the data socket a standard item or did you have to cut the face yourself?

The Pink RJ45 socket is a Nordx AX101345 Rouge/Rose Red, but is Pink.
The enclosure is a Clipsal 4PS31.
There are no tricks inside, just connect the Outgoing Cables, the Patch Lead(I use solid core to make the termination easier), and the cable to the RJ45 socket all together. I just use a mini 4 pole terminal strip.

Would be nice if the boys at Clipsal would make something like this! :)

Cheers for the info John. That looks like a great little box.
Do you just have the terminal strip loose inside or is there mounting spots inside the box also?

I have just been leaving it loose, but fixed(or clip in) would be better.
This may require some minor changes to the enclosure by the manufacturer.

    Fit for purpose

Having ordered the requisite bits for this great part; I must throw a little water on the fire and ask if this is the best Clipsal can do with fit? I don't think a switchboard would like closing over that housing?

Maybe a modification using a dead RCD or something else bus mounted might solve that?

    Am I being precious?

This 6-port SP5 Surface Pack is designed to provide high performance modular connectivity and category 5e transmission performance for mobile, surface mount applications. The module fits through 57.15mm (2.25 in.) diameter openings for easy relocation and can be mounted using either mounting screws (not provided) or optional internal mounting magnets. Cable tie strain relief points and tapered entrance secures and protects cables.

I was thinking the same thing. Knowing how well a din rail mount untis fits in the panels and then looking at the photo and how the enclosure is slightly off from the unit, I reckon its going to be a bit of push and shove to get the cover on.

    Pink Bits

For anyone interested in doing this, Paul the Data Expert from Rexel in Hindmarsh SA has been able to source the pink bits and housing.

    Pink Bits

Got my pink bits thanks to Paul at Rexel at Hindmarsh.

The housing actually fits perfectly on the Switchboard Bus and takes up 2.5 modules so a half spacer makes it look pretty schmick.

Now I just need the rest of my gear to arrive and I am in schmuck heaven.
