Question - I cant see it can on the tech specs.

The CBUS thermostat - cant it have an external temp. sensor wired into it rather than using the internal unit ?

This is standard on most multi room systems - and certainly on mine. So, all my thermostat units are all centrally located, near all the electrics and CBUS relays, etc. with a wire (SFTP)going to a remote sensor in each room - all hidden. There's no need for the thermostats to be in the rooms on a multi zone system. There is a central touchpad in the hall where all the data is fed.

Would be nice to replace these with CBUS h/w (and therefore tied into comfort etc). But if there's no remote sensor option, it's just not a viable option.

Did you see the link to the installation instructions and user guide that was posted here a few days ago?

I'm not that familiar with the thermostat, however I do know it supports remote sensors (they are not available just yet - they will be an updated version of the 5031TS). A brief look through the toolkit GUI and the instructions above suggests that it should do what you want.

It is designed for it, it will do it, we have it running in the development lab.

All we need to do is get the remote sensor into production.

(ha ha... fits of hysterical laughter...)

When i say remote sensor, i mean a long wire with the temp sensor on the end of it. In my case, under the floor for the UFH - not some wall mounted malarky :)

Thats what i cannot see in the user guide- the pin connectors to use an external temp sensor - fairly standard on ufh thermostats
