It sounds like you don't have the licence dongle/file/usb installed. It should of come with the copy of homegate. It can be brought with different numbers of networks attached, so if you've brought the 1 network version and you have more the 1 network you will need to uprade to suit the site config.

    Homegate

Thanks for the reply. We are using a licensed version of Homegate 3.1.0 supplied by Schneider Electric. We have also upgdated it thru Net. After working for sometime the C-Bus connectivity is lost. We have to tick the Connect to CBus option again to resume.

What version did you upgrade to?

if my memory serves me correctly anything over 4.0.0... needs the USB dongle...

how do you connect to C-Bus? IP or RS232?

this could be small disconnect, caused by windows

one of the most annoying Homegate things is that it cannot reconnect once it's disconnected. no matter if it disconnected from C-Bus, or client programm disconnected from C-Gate

This has been fixed. Where there are problems with disconnections, you can get HomeGate to regularly poll C-Gate, and re-establish the connection if there is no reply. See "C-Gate Test" in the "C-Bus Project" topic of the help file.
