    Lockup

Make sure it not just busy, i have found that it takes up to 12 seconds on a 3ghz machine to delete a single group after you have being working in a single project for some time, adding /deleting etc.
What i have to do is get of toolkit and restart.

Posted this problem in the beta version and suggest that a spinning hour glass be used so you know toolkit busy.

well were right but it takes a lot longer on the site laptop

ok having left the computer thinking about it for 90 yes 90 seconds we finally came through and unlocked to use again.
the laptop that i use on site is not the latest model but a pentium 3 1.3G should be adequate for any site programming required. i will take the file back to the office and test it there on the pentium 4. i really think for the pracitcality of site programming the specs required for the computer should not be top end as the majority of electricians be daunted by spending that sort of money for site use.
    Regards
    Lyndon

    Toolkit

    Hi all,
For those who are used to V2 software, the progression to toolkit can be a little frustrating. The first few times i used toolkit i found it agonising slow compared to V2, but a little patience goes a long way. The new toolkit, specifically 1.1.6 is a great leap from V2, but still the wish list i'm sure is ever growing. Can the expiry timer window for PIR's be brought to the main GUI template rather than being hidden in the background. Traditionally i am involved with large commercial projects, often with hundreds of sensors, it is now a daunting task to set all the timers, but one big improvement is the keyboard entry of specific times now rather than the short-cut system in use in V2.
Keep it coming guys, all looks good from out in the field.

no, no... doesn't this only happen to larger databases ? I've noticed the database size (or how many GAs you have in it), has a weird delay effect on the program... but as long as it works :D
