I have downloaded the full suite to update all programs.

However it appears the installer only installs Toolkit and CGate, not PICED and TICA? I did have the check boxes ticked on install.

And for the silly question.....It looks like toolkit 1.1.8 is not backward compatible with things like schedule plus 2.6.0.

    Hi Chris,

I've retested this on 2 machines here and it works fine.. We'll dig a little deeper and see what else might have caused the problem.

That is correct. You will need to upgrade to S+/HG 3 to use C-Gate 2.3 (which is required by Toolkit 1.1.8 and installed by Toolkit).

The downloads page contains a product compatibility matrix.

    Yep, thought so :)

I just tried installing the suite on another pc that has not had any c-bus software on it and the full suite works.

I will uninstall previous copies of PICED and TICA, then install the suite again to see if that fixes it. Just thought the suite might update the files.

I tried installing the suite direct from winzip and it works fine.

Previously I had extracted it into the clipsal folder before installing. Might have been a bad extraction?

    Howdi,
I think the build using inno setup has been compiled incorrectly.
If you extract the .exe from the .zip and run it in a vanilla XP box, that has never seen any Clipsal software before, it installs toolkit and c-gate only.

    C-gate version is:-

    Clipsal C-Gate(TM) v2.3.25 (build 2057)
    Warning: unknown parameter clock.updtate-interval
    License file found:
    Customer Name: PUBLIC
    Location: PUBLIC
    License type: PUBLIC
    Network licenses: 2
    Expiry: 1 January 2100
    Total network licenses: 2

If you install direct from the .zip it installs Tica as well.

    Neither methods install Piced.

    Cheers
    Ross.

    Howdi again,
Is it really necessary to ship the software as a .zip, when the saving is just 79 bytes unpacked?

    Cheers.

Clipsal Website has "issues" with .exe files.

    Hi Ross,

Did you see any error messages when installing Suite?

    Regards,

    Howdi George,
There are no errors visible during the install process.

A few of us have just spent a few happy (!) hours trying to reproduce these reports with no success.

But... when the install happens, the first product to go on is Toolkit (+C-Gate). And at the end of the install for that it asks you to do a reboot.

Did you select Yes, you wanted to reboot? Or did you select no and opt to do it later?

If you use the reboot option at the end of the Toolkit portion of the install, it almost certainly wont finish installing the others after coming back up again.

This *may* mean we need to do a revision of the monster installer.... If that happens we'll let you know.

    Hi Ashleigh,
Glad to see you revisited the monster installer. You are quite correct in your summary except that the option to reboot is not till the completion of the install of all ticked products and 1 got 2 screens asking for a reboot at the completion. Yes I did reboot and with the same results as mentioned above.
Don?t know if this assists you or not.
    Cheers

We are fairly sure its due to rebooting. The monster installer is getting a minor rejig so that it no longer asks for any reboots (well, thats how its working for me now anyhow).

It seems to work OK to install from it onto a clean system - I'd recommend a manual reboot anyhow after completion of the monster install. I will post again when the replacement is available.

    Hi Ashleigh,
I actually use a vanilla XP box that I can flatten and ghost back a clean OS in 8 mins flat. This is so clean even tiny Tim would be happy. It fails to install correctly on this box.
    Cheers

OK Ross - the Monster Installer (Oops Mega Installer) has been updated.

    Give this a go now.

    Hi Ahleigh,
I downloaded it and... well... simpliy, it is corrupt.

! C:\Documents and Settings\Ross\Desktop\CBusSoftwareSuite_1_1_8.zip: CRC failed in CBusSoftwareSuite_1_1_8.exe. The file is corrupt
    ! Cannot execute "C:\DOCUME~1\Ross\LOCALS~1\Temp\Rar$EX00.781\CBusSoftwareSuite_1_1_8.exe"

So I'll download it again and see if it was corrupted during download or is corrupted at the source. Maybe you could check as well?

    Cheers.
