toolkit 1.17.4 install

    Am installing a new Spacelogic 8 channel dimmer tomorrow and im still not 100% sure if i need 1.17.4 to program it?
    After speaking to Clipsal, it seems that i do as apparently the new dimmers do not have an "Area" option anymore and the existing install is using a group addy in all installed devices Area tab as an all off-not my doing.
    I was told that i would now have to do it via logic using the new commissioning software which means that i need cgate 3 etc.
    Im more than a little nervous about screwing up this install so any help would be appreciated.
    Yes, i have created a separate backup for existing projects just in case.
