Along with the display of 'Serial number Only' for some units, I noticed that when using a Wireless Plug adapter (WPA2R1) under 'Key Functions' the 'Key Sets Management' has gone missing. This means you cannot choose other key sets to use with the remote control etc.

I still see it.. What firmware version is the unit you're looking at?

Hi Duncan, Tolkit shows Firmware 1.0.0 in both Toolkit 1.4.0 and 1.5.0
I have attached a DOC file (hopefully it worked), the first picture is Toolkit 1.5.0, the second picture is from Toolkit 1.4.0.

I was going to set up some more keys for use with the Remote when I noticed that I could not.
Under Toolkit 1.4.0 I have been using some of the other key sets as scenes to be used by the Remote.

    Thanks.

Key sets were present in wireless from the very first firmware release. However there was a wee defect. It will work, there is an edge case relating to Toolkit programming a change of the active key set. This was fixed in Wireless firmware ver 1.7.

We've closed the door off in Toolkit 1.5 because for the earlier versions of Toolkit its not 100% foolproof.

As I remember it, the key sets issues with the early firmware relates ONLY to changing the active key set using toolkit - in that the change does not become active until the key unit (or plug adaptor) either gets its power cycled, or you issue an appropriate enable control message to force a change. Either way its not the end of the world, just something we were not completely happy with.

If you are only uising the extra (hidden) keys and blocks to do neat stuff from a remote, the lack of the ability to select the active key set will have no effect.

Looks like we better open the door a crack - perhaps put up a warning about key sets with those early firmware releases.

In the meantime, you'd better keep using Toolkit 1.4. We'll see what we can drop into the next Toolkit service pack.
