Toolkit Error 2255

    What's this error mean, using a large database ??
    It would be helpful if toolkit did not think we all screens 4k wide.

    bet i am the first with this one

    update
    found as I corrected the DLT text (now into the "B" group names) it came good
    only another 200 to go

    Hi Dave

    Some more information would help. what machine type is it? What OS? what service pack? What anti-virus?

    Is the project DB mapped to some other location using a file server, or SUBST ?

    Is the machine lightly or heaviy loaded? What other things is it running at the same time.

    Here is some background: the way projects are saved is:

    - delete project.xml.old
    - rename project.xml to project.xml.old
    - save the project to project.xml.new
    - rename project.xml.new to project.xml

    The step that failed was the rename of the previous copy of the project on disk to the ".old" backup copy. Which is weird. And has nothing to do with tag names of groups! (Or SHOULD have nothing to do with...)

    Hi Ashleigh,

    Op system XP service pack 3 and norton, only thing running was email and toolkit.
    This is what I did
    ? Create a new project
    ? Copy groups from Excel sheet (211)
    ? Do a Multiple Add
    ? Open The DLT Labels edit
    ? Turn off only DLT box so loads all groups
    ? Add Australian
    ? Load Labels

    Then just go Save labels and error comes up.

    Just created a new project and same thing happens, will send u the excel sheet with groups, also if u shorten about 30-50 of the labels to length that fits the error goes away.

    Hmmm... OK, thanks. It's been sent on to the developers.

    I don't think a fix for this will make it in the next release, which is due aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaany day now...
