One of the most frustrating aspect of programming with the lastest versions of toolkit, was that some time ago (toolkit V.1.6) you could expand the lighting application and get an alphabetical listing of groups, then click on a group to show usage.

This feature was removed, then re-added, but now for some reason only the CIS developers can explain, the group address tree underneath the lighting application appears to be sorted by group address number! This makes is impossible if I am searching for which unit has "Master Bed Lights" programmed into it as I may have to search through a list of 255 groups!

Surely it can be sorted alphabetically like it used to...

Yes, we are aware of this issue.

There are a number of complex technical underlying reasons for it, but fundamentally its a bit of a stuff up that its ended up the way it is.

A fix is coming. It will not be in the next release of the 1.9 series (due very soon), but it will be in the one after that. This is most likely to be called version 1.10, and its current ETA is 4-8 weeks away. This might change with circumstances.

... and 2.0 is going to be?

Taking a leaf from the IT industry as a whole, the release of a version 2.0 of a software product usually heralds the arrival of a significant incremental development. Will Toolkit 2.x be just such a development?

It is CIS policy for staff not to comment on unreleased products. You won't find an answer to that question here.

    Toolkit 2.0 is in planning.

Apart from that, see Newmans comment.

If you look at it quickly (as I first did) and dismiss the 0, 1.10 looks like a backward step: 1.9 to 1.1 ... now that could be confusing, for some ...
