Unfortunately, Toolkit is not *supported* on a 64 bit OS.

It is a 32 bit application. Drivers have been built for 32 and 64 bit operation. But it is not a *supported* configuration.

Can you downgrade to 32 bit version of vista?

    Hi Ashleigh,
Is this to be rectified at some point in time?

For what its worth, I'm using the latest version of C-Gate/Toolkit on Windows 7 64-bit with no problems. Connecting to CBus via CNI, so I can't comment on how well the drivers for a USB PCI or PAC work.

Same here, works like a charm on my Windows7 x64 as well. Using PAC & PICED 4.6.1 as well as PCI via a Serial-to-Ethernet adapter. UAC is turned off though...

    Hi,
I have been using Toolkit and Piced on my Vista Ultimate 64BIt for over 1 year with absolutely ZERO problems.

    Even the Diagnostic program works.

    They scan my network easily.

I create and test code and then xfer it my XP laptop to load onto PACA.

But toolkit, works terrific on 64bit

    Hi Samson,

Strictly speaking Toolkit is not officially supported on 64-bit OS. However some people report that it works on Vista 64-bit and XP 64-bit. The common problem with Toolkit on 64 bit Windows platform we are aware of so far is the connection to C-Bus network through USB PCI. Vista 64-bit requires reboot in a special mode "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement" for the C-Bus USB driver to be installed and work properly.

However your issue with CNI is new to us and is rather unexpected. Are you sure firewall is not blocking TCP/IP traffic between CNI and C-Gate on your PC? Are the CNI address and port configured correctly?

What IP address are you putting in Toolkit?

If the CNI is connected to a Wiser then you need to put the IP address of the *Wiser* into Toolkit, not the address of the CNI itself. This is because the CNI can only handle one connection at a time - it can't accept a connection from Toolkit if the Wiser already has a connection to the CNI.

    Nick

PS : This should have been explained to you by whoever supplied you the Wiser.

Using CBus Toolkit on Vista x64 and PICED without dramas.

I am using a USB to Serial Converter and I think some compatibility issues occur due to crappy converters rather than the CBus Software.
