Yes, I'm following the thread and am very keen to get more details on this issue. It is very strange you have problems with Toolkit on one PC and no such problems on another connecting to the same network.

You probably checked all these usual network parameters like burden and voltage, but anyway I've seen a few times before some strange programming data loading from a unit on an underburdened network. If you are using software burden it is worth doublechecking it is active.

    Regards,
    George

The other very odd thing is you state and show that the software works fine a few occasions then things get mucked around. I still stick to my original post and think you need to eliminate marginal comms on your network or even a serial comms issue on your new PC

George, I'm sure it has nothing to do with the burden or the voltage, the last screenshots I posted are from a 2 years old network (my own apartment) and never had a slightest problem.
I hope you come up with something by checking the ccl file I sent you.

    Cheers,
    Thanos

    Hi Thanos,

I didn't get the e-mail unfortunately. Technical Support are saying they did not receive it. I think things will work quicker if we go a different path here. Please reproduce the problem in Toolkit again and straight after that go to the menu Help/Report a Problem. This will cause Toolkit to send an e-mail to us with the log file attached.

    Regards,
    George

I got a new USB to Serial adapter and will try it later on tonight.
A friend of mine said that there might be a compatibility problem with usb 1.1 and 2.0. The adapter is 1.1 and the laptop has usb 2.0 ports.
I will let you know the relults with the new usb.

Yes!!!! The problem was the usb adapter! It was not compatible with my new laptop. Everything works perfect at the moment. I'm still suspicious and very careful but it is just my idea!
Thanx for the help guys. I'll be around watching the new posts in the forum. :D
