You can extract the group addresses in any format you like for printing :

    Extracting Groups Tutorial

For printing dialogs the best way is to capture a screenshot ( Alt + "PRINT SCREEN" button ) and then paste it (Ctrl + V) into Windows Paintbrush. You can then print from there.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi NewGen,

The intent was to provide this functionality prior to shipping, but alas it didn;t make it. It will be inlcuded in the future, but it was an oversight that the button was icnluded in the released product.

Sorry for any confusion. Feel free to discuss the sort of items you want to print and the formatting so we can fully scope the feature when it doesn get included.

    Hi NewGen,

I have moved this thread to the C-Bus Software - General forum as the software is no longer beta and therefore does not belong in the Beta forum.

    yes

yes, and it's definitely on the cards. The problem is, whatever built-in reporting/printing solution we come up with is not going to meet everybody's needs 100% of the time. So we really need to take the time to get feedback from a large sample of users on what they want to see in reports. All this is going to take time and money to develop, so we want to get it right.

The provision of XML/XSLT tutorials is intended to help the more canny users out there get a head start on exploiting Toolkit to their benefit, right NOW. But you're right in that it's not a good point-and-click type solution. A better reporting system is on the way... it'll just take time.

In the meantime, your feedback on what exactly you'd like to see in a report would be very valuable.

    Cheers.

    Print Icon

Most people appreciate that the greyed out print icon is a sign of what is to come.

If you leave it there it might stimulate the communicatoin as to what people want with the print feature ???

    ;)

    Print outs

This is what i would like to see in toolkit,
the first goes to guys on site - and left onsite as part of the documentation we supply the client.
Second one we use to check the full configuration - it show tags not used, outputs with no switch etc.
I produce these using excel marcos hacking the old dbase files but toolkit could produce CSV files as most things will read this format.
