    Hi all
I was working on an already installed Touch Screen and upgraded the firmware to Ver 2.2. After the upgrade I wasnt able to use the Touch Screen as a PC Interface. I was able to use it as PC Interface before upgradation without any hassle.
When I scan the network using Toolkit via the TS , it detects an available PCI and also manages to find the project name. The TS also displays the message "PC Interface Mode" .
But when we acutally open the project and try to scan the network, the TS resets and the project stored in it loads up.
Toolkit displays the message, "Network failed to open".
Is it an issue with the upgrade or am I missing something??

We are not aware of any problems with version 2.2 firmware operating as a PC Interface. I have just tested it and it works fine.

Are you using a laptop ? It may be that the serial port levels on your computer are a bit low and causing marginal communications.

If you continue to have problems, I would recommend using a PC Interface. Using the C-Touch as a PC Interface is really only intended as an emergency measure.

I hope that you read this one darren.
I also have have had problems with t.s (b&W) acting as pc inerface but since well before v2.2 actually when i think about toolkit all versions for me has not worked.
I would like to be able to do so as i have a remote job that i wish to be able to reprogram he t.s via the network i know this is a slow process butthe job is 4 hours away and this method of programming would be advantages to me
(probably use a telephone interface to conect) Is there a computer setting that may help my computer use the serial port properly.
    I'm using toolkit 1.3 and 3.4.1 piced

Yes. I cleverly disguised the fact that I had read your post by posting a reply

Have you tried the things in the FAQ topic "C-Touch Connection Problems" ?

    Ethernet or Serial???

Can anyone confirm or deny wether the enthernet port on the colour touch screen has the same functionality as a ethernet network interface?
I am looking at a job where program changes to the c-bus system via ethernet would be desirable. The job definately has a colour touch screen, but 5500CN may help save a few dollars.

In PICED select the Help menu and then the FAQ menu. This will show the FAQ help file. In the Contents select "C-Touch Unit" then "C-Touch Connection Problems"
