Your project is trying to use more memory than the touch screen has.

In the Colour C-Touch log, you can get it to record your memory usage. This can give you some clues as to what is going on.

    There are two simple options:
    1. Modify your project, particularly to remove excessive images. There is a PICED FAQ topic "Memory Usage" which describes image usage briefly.
    2. Install more memory (this will void your warranty, but is easy to do)

Changing the memory is not something normally done, and it will void your warranty.

It is very easy to do, but there is no documentation on the process. It is essentially the same as upgrading the memory in a computer.

    From memory, the steps are:
    1. Disconnect the Colour C-Touch from the power supply
    2. Remove the back plastic cover
    3. You might need to remove screws to take the processor board out of the enclosure to get access to the memory card (I can't remember exactly). You may also need to remove the heat sink (if you do, don't touch the heat sink compound).
    4. Unplug the memory card (it is the same as removing it from a computer or laptop)
    5. Get a memory card with the same physical specifications, but more bytes. I am not sure what size memory card the BIOS will support. The older touch screens will certainly work with 512MB, and I think also 1GB. The newer touch screens come with more memory anyway.
    6. Reverse the above steps to put it back together

It might be worthwhile taking a few photos as you go along to make sure you can reassemble it. Also, if it all works, post the photos and details of the process so others can benefit :)
