We have a residential installation with 4 CTCs and several Mark IIs which each have Thermostat controls for 6 single-zone Thermostats. The CTCs each have 6 different pages with controls for one zone per page. The MIIs have only one zone of temp control each. There are 4 networks in the project, with Touch Screens and Thermostats residing on only 2 of the networks. (all thermostats on 254, along with a couple touch screens and the rest of the touch screens on 253)

The issue we're having is the temperature updates are intermittently not going to other touch screens if there is a set-point change. This seems to be true regardless of whether the messages are crossing the bridge or not. For example, two touch screens on the same network - both can control HVAC Zone 1. Touch screen 1's set-point is changed from 80 degrees to 78 degrees. Touch screen 2 still says the zone's set-point is 80 degrees. When the temperature in the space actually changes to 78, the originating touch screen will show accurate current temp, but other touch screens may still be showing the original 80 deg. set-point and 80 deg. temp.

This seems to be random, in that it doesn't happen all the time and may or may not happen on more than one touch screen (i.e. some may update correctly, while others do not).

Any thoughts on what may keep the HVAC messages from updating Touch Screens?

The first thing to do is connect the C-Bus Diagnostic Software and see what messages are happening on C-Bus. Then make this problem happen. Finally, look at the log to see whether the HVAC message was seen on C-Bus or not.

Let us know the results (post an extract of the log along with details of what you did at what time).

    Thanks for the reply Darren.

I'm not on site - Which means another cross-country plane ride... Do you feel there's a likely cause/fix that could be handled on-site, or is this something we need to try and re-create here in the office?

If we do try to re-create, which components are likely the culprit? Do we need to set up all of the components (4 networks, 16 zones of MRA, 6 Thermostats, Elk Alarm/Ness/C-Bus interface, 4 CTCs, 6 Mark IIs, etc.) i.e. What would be the most relevant components to this specific issue?
