    Hi,

I have inherited a large C-bus installation with 50 Saturn DLT keypads and 150 circuits of lighting, One B&W Mark2 C-touch screen and 40 window shutter relays. The Shutters and C-touch are on one network connected via a bridge, the dimmer modules and DLT keypads are on the local network with the USB PC port.

Without the original project files I am trying to retrieve the programs from the units. Having managed this with the lighting and shutter units I reprogrammed the DLT keypads to enable lighting scenes. There were no apparent trigger controls in the project so I created some to service the lighting scenes, but now this is also triggering the shutters. I believe that the C-touch has been programmed to control all the shutters using another set of conflicting trigger controls I do not have visibility of, and I am having problems connecting to it with my PC.

How do I transfer the program from the unit? I am using the latest versions - Toolkit 1.11.4, PICED 4.9.2.0, but when I connect to the C-bus in toolkit I can see the c-touch unit on the network, but in PICED it doesn't transfer - it says an archive file was created, but this is empty. I can not seem to get the logic and trigger control for the blinds!

Any hints please? Can I pull the C-touch from the wall and connect directly?

You can remove the fascia from the C-Touch and connect directly to it via USB.

Whilst transfer of the C-Touch project via C-Bus is possible, it's extremely slow, and also not supported via network bridges (ie the C-Touch and the PCI you're using need to be on the same network).

    Thanks,

I will try the direct appoach. One further question, will I be able to get the logic and trigger group info, or does this get 'compiled' and transfered? I have read on the forum that you can't get all the information from the 'transfer project from unit' function?

    Thanks

    Iain

You will not be able to get the logic back.

I am not sure what you mean by "trigger group info".

You will not get the C-Bus "tags" either.
