Transfering project to Monochrom Touch Screen

    Hi there

    When Transfering project to Monochrome Touch Screen I get the error 14023

    Cannot connect to serial port unable to open comport (win error code:2).

    Yet all the rest of the project works ok

    Anyone any idea's?

    Make sure the PICED software is looking at the correct com port. If you are using a USB adaptor make sure you connect it and give the PC time to detect the USB device and load the com port before trying to download. If the chain is broken go to communications settings in the project details and reselect the correct com port for download/comms.;)

    Was thinking along the same lines but what I coundn't understand that I was alredy working on a network ,which was operating ok then when I tried to connect the touch screen thats when the message appeared about the com port?

    Make sure no other applications are using that COM port. The most common problem is that C-Gate is using the COM port. You will need to close and re-open C-Gate if that is the case.

    thanks all got it sorted I transfered the data through the c-bus network took a little longer but got there in the end

    I think I had a similar issue...

    When I did several uploads. Unplugging the connection to the touch screen then plugging it back in while leaving in the USB connection was the problem. If I plugged in the touch screen connection first THEN plugged in the USB... that seemed to work.
