Whats the trick to trigger the trigger groups on a PACA via C-Gate?

Via C-Gate I can see the trigger groups programmed on the PACA ok (eg. 254/202/1 ($1) level=0 state=ok) but when I try an On command or set level command to these addresses I get an 'operation not supported...' message.

Is there some special trigger command I can't find, or could it be the PACA isn't configured properly? The idea in this case is that the PACA will set a scene when a trigger group is activated. Someone else is setting up the PACA but they assure me the PACA sets the scene ok. Seems to me we're just not sending the correct command.

When you send a C-Bus message, it gets sent to all units on the network, not just one. Your problem is not related to the PAC as such. What you want to know is how to send a Trigger Group command via C-Gate.

Given that you haven't told us the exact command you have sent, it is impossible to know with certainty what you are doing wrong, but it is probably related to the fact that the Trigger Control Application doesn't support the "on" command. To set the Trigger Group 1 to "level" (actually Application Selector number) 255, you need the following command :

    trigger event 254/202/1 255

Thanks, that's what I was after.

Where do I find documentation on such things? I spent a couple of hour reading various docs, manuals etc. but found nothing about a 'trigger event' command.
