So in light of the discontinuation of a physical Touchscreen I am now looking around for decent screens that can be nicely wall mounted and integrate into the Automation Controllers. The majority of our work is commercial and large corporate buildings so am looking for something that has hardwired ethernet as having lots of little Wifi networks or the C-Bus on the main wifi is a no-no. POE would be a plus but not essential. Would prefer to say away from dongles and wall warts but could be persuaded for a good screen!

The one I have come across so far is the:

Just wondering if other have found some that they are using and what they think of them?

    Thanks!

I haven't tried any but on alibaba there are a lot of options for wall mounted android tablets running on POE.
    YMMV

    Thanks guys,

Yes, alibaba always has 'Stuff' but often places that can afford C-Bus expect something with a brand name and said support so steering away from the eBay and Alixxx specials at the moment.

That is an interesting option Damaxx and will have to look into that a bit more, the Odroid SBC looks like a good option for fitting to a 7 or 10" flush screen.

Totally agree - and I honestly wonder why there has not been more from the manufacturers of tablets to make a flush wall mount option. But end of the day it is still a niche market.
The Odroid boards are brilliant bang per buck regarding Android operating system, but not without caveats. Older versions of Android OS are more reliable, but are not as quick.
Although regarding C-Bus control- especially with the new Wiser Automation Controller, it becomes a moot point as the web interface is operating system independent. Android on and Odroid SBC is only a bonus because of boot speed, price (or lack thereof as compared to Windows) and other common apps. Youtube is the jukebox for our home and the kids love it because they know how to control it.

For anyone following this thread, but wondering if anyone has used the AOPEN screens for this stuff.. seen a few AV installs using them and they look pretty good. Running the Chrome OS.
