Hi,All.I'm a jackaroo in C-Bus system, and my mother tongue isn't English.I'm very sorry for my wrong syntax in my post, and I hope I could deliver myself of my problem.

I have a light project which controlled by C-bus.My system have four networks and collected by three bridges(5500NB),I named them ''network 1''to"network 4",every network included about 80 units.

My computer is a DELL PC,there's no parallel port and serial port,so I've installed two cards:pCI-to-parallel port(for licence dongle) and PCI-to-serial port(for 5500PC).
My OS is Windows XP SP2,and the hardware drivers was received with my PC

    My problem:

    1. I have a networks licence file "cgate.lic",but the file only allow two networks running. At the same time,I have a dongle for 5 networks,my question:Should I get another licence file for 4 networks?,or I could run my networks when I install my dongle and no-need a new licence file?

2.When I finished my scan by Toolkit,I closed toolkit(C-gate not closed) and running Homegate, use "Option/Connect to C-bus" to control my equipments, but after about 5 minutes,my Homegate has an error, the message of error is :"an error occurred when trying to close connection" and c-gate has close itself.so I had to finish my work.
when the problem happened, there's no licence file but the dongle has been installed. My question:what caused the problem? my hardware driver? my operate step? the compatibility of my PC or OS? physical causation? licence files? or other causations?

    help me pleaes,thank you .

You can have both and the greater of the 2 licenses will previal. So once the license drivers are installed you should be licensed to the capacity of the dongle, regardless of the "cgate.lic" file.

When C-Gate starts, does it show the correct number of network licenses ?

If C-Gate is closing unexpectedly, it might be necessary to activate the log and see what messages get written there when C-Gate closes down.
